History

Christian Community Church was recognized as on organized congregation on 5th Oct. 1958. Under the leadership of Mrs. Ellen Pannalal, the women of Christian Community Church joined hands together to help the Church in running Sunday School and other church activities effectively. Mrs Ellen Pannalall was theologically trained and had a clear call for Christian ministry. She was the first president of Mahila Sabha. Mahila Sabha meeting used to be held at camp II, Balmandir. Then later on they started to meet at street 14- Sector 1.

In 1960 – first Executive body of Mahila Sabha was formed with President – Smt E. Pannalall, Vice President – Smt P.B. Amolik, Secretary – Smt S. Amold , Treasurer – Smt N. Henry .

Presently the Mahila Sabha is a very effective organ of this church.  Under the leadership of Church Panchayat, Mahila Sabha is conducting programmes regularly and helping the church grow in love and fellowship. Mahila Sabha has been generously donating articles needed by the church.

Mahila meeting are held in different places namely – Charoda , Khursipara , Jamul, Borsi and Adarsh Nagar Durg, under the aegis of Christian Community Church Secter 6 Bhilai Mahila Sabha

Activities of Mahila Sabha

1. Visiting [on request] senior members of Mahila Sabha; visiting sick, bereaved families to pray and worship with them.
2. Every year Mahila Sabha organizes full Day prayer, generally on 14th August.
3. Once in a year Mahila Sabha conducts one day seminar for all its members and one day seminar for senior members.
4. Similarly three day seminar is organized by Board of Christian Community Church, so that the members of the Nandini and Rajhara Mahila Sabha get a common platform to promote love and good personal relationship and to worship our Lord and Saviour.
5. Members of Mahila Sabha visit Jail every year and organize prayer meeting with female prisoners and interact with them, share their sorrows and also pray for their peace of mind, and justice.
6. Likewise Mahila Sabha members visit Old Age Home to spend time with old people to comfort them.
7. Members of the Mahila Sabha in small groups visit the sick at hospital to pray with them for their recovery.
8. It is the aim of Mahila Sabha to spend time in different orphanages every year.
9. Mahila Sabha is involved in charity work for need and provides funds and other useful things.
10. Every year Mahila Sabha celebrates Christmas tree with great enthusiasm and attractive programmes. After the programme, election of executive committee is held for coming year.
